Most Spanish courses follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), dividing proficiency levels into six categories:

A1 – Beginner Level

  • Objective: Understand and use everyday expressions and basic phrases.
  • Topics Covered:
    • Alphabet and pronunciation
    • Greetings and introductions
    • Numbers, colors, and basic vocabulary
    • Essential verbs: "Ser," "Estar," "Tener," "Haber"
    • Asking for directions, ordering food, and basic shopping conversations

A2 – Elementary Level

  • Objective: Communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring direct exchanges of information.
  • Topics Covered:
    • Expanded vocabulary (family, jobs, hobbies)
    • Present, past (pretérito indefinido), and future tenses
    • Regular and irregular verbs
    • Prepositions of place and time
    • Forming questions and responses
    • Describing personal experiences
    • Basic writing (emails, messages)

B1 – Intermediate Level

  • Objective: Understand and express opinions on familiar topics and handle travel situations.
  • Topics Covered:
    • Advanced verb tenses (pretérito perfecto, imperfecto)
    • Reflexive and pronominal verbs
    • Comparatives and superlatives
    • Commands and requests (imperative mood)
    • Idiomatic expressions
    • Expressing feelings and preferences

B2 – Upper-Intermediate Level

  • Objective: Communicate fluently and understand complex texts and conversations.
